BDO say “Advisory” involves building a deep understanding of your business to help you navigate business ownership (ie they help you grow).
They say “Audit & Assurance” goes beyond delivering independent financial statement audits to giving you constructive ideas to improve your business (sounds like more growth – but focused).
This website has been created to collate complaints people have had with the services provided by BDO and mentions some of the extensive losses incurred by those people.
If you are a high-growth, tech start-up business, or otherwise wanting competent and professional accounting support, we think you would be much better off to avoid BDO completely!
It's just not worth the risk.
